Who Sued Who Regarding HB2?

If you answered North Carolina sued the Department of Justice today, you are correct!

Today a complaint was filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, Western Division asking the court to provide declaratory and injunctive relief against the United States Department of Justice's attempts to prevent the enforcement of HB2.

Today a complaint was filed in the United States District Court, Middle District of North Carolina alleging that North Carolina's compliance with and enforcement of HB2 constitutes discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013.
